Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House by Michael Wolff – review | Books | The Guardian

He is a New Yorker in Washington, far more consumed with the news media and personalities than policy issues. He elides facts, fudges the specifics and dispenses with professional norms in the service of success and status. And while affecting a contempt for the mainstream press, he cannot help dropping the mask to reveal the double game he is playing. The duo are a match made in heaven, or perhaps due south. Politics and elections are my beat, so I can easily get pulled into stories about the Trump White House.

Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House by Michael Wolff – review

Thank you. It's how I was raised: to question, to be skeptical. Tne never spoke to him for book. He's not someone who bashes Trump but praises other politicians.

These challenges have included dealing with off-the-record gire deep-background material that was later casually put on the record; sources who provided accounts in confidence and subsequently shared them widely, of otherwise private and deep-background conversatio. He is a serious writer and should be taken seriously. He put his name in the hat as a marketing ploy for his failing brand. They want juice.

No one in the universe did. For all his intellectual challenges Swamp Thing is a larger than life character with very little core, a made-for-Television president. Hallmark Channel pulls ad showing lesbian wedding. But the rush is fun, and that has its value.

People who are also inexperienced, he showed it early and showed it often, ignorant. Tru. Wolff is also slippery about whether he was present for some of the conversations he relays or is merely offering a version of events from those who were. Shock horror.

It officially hit shelves today. There are many questions about the book, not the least of which is how much is verifiably true. But it seems to me the simplest question is: Should I read it?

In the opening firw, Wolff recounts a private dinner that took place during the transition at which Roger Ailes and Steve Bannon share thoughts about Trump. It is a bit mind-boggling the access he had to the actual White House, but he lays it out. Unfortunately for America, no one drinks the Trump Kool-Aid as well as Trump himself so once he was told ghe was a chance he could win he brainwashed himself into thinking he was qualified for the job. They are furious that Trump lied about saving their jobs and keeping work in the U.

He is adroit at making the reader think that he has spent hours and days with his subject, when in fact he may have spent no time at all. Watch Abby Huntsman quit 'The View'. Thank Jeebus he loves this country enough to keep trying to stomp out the dumpster fire which is this presidency with his bare feet every day. Though there is more in-depth background provided to many of 2.

If even half of this book is true, though the depictions of the characters have an unfortunate tendency toward lazy meanness, well. The New Yorker. But the gossip is gold. He firre he conducted over interviews with Trump and his associates including the senior staff [4] and was allowed to witness events at the White House without his presence being managed.

CBS News. To stay with this analogy: Amidst of all these undesirable colon contents is a big undigestible and toxic something that should have never landed there and that is not only causing cramps and constipation but might prove fatal to tthe whole organism that is, our country or even our planet unless this big troublemaker can be expelled with the help of a strong laxative or an enema aka impeachment. And I think there is a general sense the president is unfit. He elides facts, fudges the specifics and dispenses with professional norms in the service of success and status.
