I liked how everything unfolded before our eyes and how I didn't know WHY this murder occurred until the very end. There is also spiritual and psychological healing through baked comfort scones at the Gingerbread House, and bibliotherapy at Miracle Sckne. From the opening scene the reader's sense of what's going on is challenged and by the end of the first chapter curiosity quickly builds. This book was just ok.
