The How and Why Wonder Book of Dinosaurs, Darlene Geis. (Paperback )

I have a copy of this wonderful book, I have always had a great fascination with Dinosaurs, I also have the old 's book by Zdenek Burian, a ahrdback cover, green with an inlaid Stegosaurus on the cover in brown stencil, however, back to the hwwbd, I remember going on a school trip to Manchester museum, I must have been about eight at the time, and the teacher bought this book in the museum shop, I mithered to borrow it, the pictures of the T-Rex were as a young enthralled boy imagined the animal to be, as were all the other images, I didn't think Brontosaurus was particularly fat, as I believed how else would he look being known as the thunder lizard, I was transported into the world of the dinosaurs, to this day I dip into this book through a sense of nostalgia to the lost wonderment of that eight year old boy. I remember this book vividly, thanks for enshrining it here! I have another old-school dino book written by Geis, illustrated by R. Peterson: Dinosaurs and Other Prehistoric Animals Nice to see this one again. A copy of it appeared in a stack of stuff in my office as we were packing to move to a new building a few weeks ago.
