Percy Jackson and the Olympians | Rick Riordan

My daughter and I read these together and she had purchased all of the others in paperback. We have waited so long for this last book to be released in paperback form to complete her collection. She loves all of these books and is reading his spin-off series as well. I enjoyed reading them as well - and I'm "old"! Great series! This is the fifth and last book in the Percy Jackson series, rather blatant Harry Potter clones, only Percy is a demigod, not a wizard.

I really loved the message this book had about home and hearth and family. However, I am super excited to finish the series in the coming week. Archived from the original on February 27, in this case the quest is engendered when a threat to Camp Half-Blood pfrcy discovered inside the camp itself.

I would definitely recommend it to middle schoolers, though. I remember reading about that a while ago. Leaving his manuscript with his agent and editor for review, and 8th graders to read and critiq. It was entertaining and the story line passed at a good pace.

Percy Jackson isn't expecting freshman orientation to be any fun. But when a mysterious mortal acquaintance appears on campus, followed by demon cheerleaders, things quickly move from bad to worse. In this latest installment of the blockbuster series, time is running out as war between the Olympians and the evil Titan lord Kronos draws near. Even the safe haven of Camp Half-Blood grows more vulnerable by the minute as Kronos's army prepares to invade its once impenetrable borders. To stop the invasion, Percy and his demigod friends must set out on a quest through the Labyrinth-a sprawling underground world with stunning surprises at every turn.
